Assigned to 95th Bomb Squadron, 17th Bomb Group at McChord Field, Washington. Was killed at Sui-chang, Chekiang Province, China on bail-out from plane after Tokyo Raid. Interred at Wan Tsuen, China. Decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart and Chinese Breast Order of Yung Hui awarded posthumously.
