Graduated form North Texas State Teachers College with BA degree in 1940.  Enlisted as Flying Cadet at Fort Worth, Texas, November 23, 1940.  Rated as pilot and commissioned as Second Lieutenant, July 11, 1941.  Returned to United States after Tokyo Raid in June, 1942.  Was killed in aircraft accident near Little Rock, Arkansas on September 3, 1942.  Decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross, and the Chinese Army, Navy, and Air Corps Medal, Class A, 1st Grade.
