Graduated college with BS degree.  Entered service on November 22, 1940 at Fort Hayes, Ohio.  Rated as pilot and commissioned Second Lieutenant, July 12, 1941.  Assigned 95th Bomb Squadron.  Was captured after Tokyo Raid and remained a Prisoner of War from April, 1942 until his death due to beri-beri and dysentery in prison camp on December 1, 1943.  Decorations include Distinguished Flying Cross and Chinese Breast order of Pao Ting.

Born August 23, 1917, Cleveland, Ohio
Died from beri-beri and dysentery while prisoner of Japanese on December 11, 1943
