Re-enlisted December 12, 1940 with 95th Bombardment Squadron, McChord Field, Washington on December 12, 1940. Was killed on April 18, 1942 in crash landing after Tokyo Raid. Interred by Chinese at Shatow, China. Decorations awarded posthumously include Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart, and the Chinese Breast Order of Yung Hui.
