Navigator Crew 2Graduated from Amherst Massachusetts High School in June, 1932. Received BS degree in Agriculture from Mass. State College in 1938. Commissioned in Cavalry Reserve from ROTC, June, 1937. Entered service as Flying Cadet, June, 1939. Rated as navigator, July 1, 1941. After Tokyo Raid he remained in India until July, 1943. Returned to the US and served at various bases as a navigation instructor. In 1946 was assigned to Alaska and subsequently served in Newfoundland and Germany until relief from active duty in November, 1954. Retired from Air Force Reserve, August, 1962. Decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medal, and the Chinese Army, Navy, and Air Corps Medal, Class A, 1st Grade.
