Second is poor quality [but best I have] of the entire Sqdn airborne [all 28 assigned!!!] over Castle at the end of a major exercise, lead by Ops Officer, Maj. Martin. Did a flyby at the CO's debriefing at Hamilton at the exercise end. I'm right wing in the 1st 4 ship on lead elements right side.
Not sure of date but between Dec 57 & Mar 58."

Hi:
Saw the picture for the first time of the 28 ship F86 formation tonight. I was there. One thing he didn't tell you was that we had three T birds and they were all airborne also!! That totals 31 456th birds in the air at once. I remember it well. The last F86 was flying in emergency everything but it was up with the rest. Thought you might be interested in this tid bit.Leland N Nellist December 21,2002
