Keith Young is sitting in the first row, fifth from right.  The squadron executive officer (name?), sitting on Col.  If you take a close look at the squadron patch on their uniforms you will see that it is the original 1944 design of Luther.  Which raises the questions why was it changed, who changed it, and when was it changed to the later version?  Another interesting question that arises is that since The Air Force, and squadron archives at the Air Force Historical Research Center at Maxwell A.F.B.  only contain the original 1944 design, application, and approval. Was the the later design ever officially approved by the Air Force?   Anyone who might have any information about this would you please contact me.
